Valentine's Day

You may have noticed that over the past several weeks we have been sourcing many lovely new items and uploading them to our store catalogue. So since we are drawing close to Valentine's Day we thought it would be timely to do a Sweet Heart themed table to showcase some of these fabulous new finds given many of the items fall within the Valentine's theme.

Valentine's Day Special

You can find almost every item here (excluding the gorgeous tree, more details can be found below) in our store at Occasion by Design, including the cotton Pink and White Polka Dot Table Runner, Kraft Candy Boxes by Mon Tresor and the Solid Colour Paper Cups.

The Felt Hearts can also be purchased from our store. They are available in Pink, Dark Pink and Red and come in packs of eight (4 large and 4 small) of the one colour.

This beautiful White Wooden Tree was made for us by the lovely Jodie-Lee from Lee Girl Pretties. 

We filled our 5cm Clear Acrylic Baubles with our Conversation Heart Confectionery and Small Red Lollipops and hung them from the wooden tree using our twine.

We filled these gorgeous Little Glass Pots with strawberry custard and wrapped them with our Hessian Strand and Pink Saddle Stitch Grosgrain Ribbon. All the before-mentioned, including the White Platter, are available to purchase from our store.

Finally, for a take home gift we decorated our very popular Kraft Food Cartons with some Pink Saddle Stitch Grosgrain Ribbon, paper doily and a Sambellina Pink Polka Dot Thank You Tag.

Safari Party

As soon as I found out that Daneve, owner and creator of Ah-Tissue Pom Poms, was planning her son's 3rd birthday party, I immediately became intrigued as to what wonderful styling she would achieve....and she certainly did not disappoint!


The theme for the party was Safari and as you can see lots of work went in to the details! Kate from Katie Takes A Picture captured the styling of the party perfectly!

Daneve used our miniature wooden pegs to hang these gorgeous take home treats.

The children (and parents!) had lots of fun making balloon animals which Daneve also sourced from our store.

A Very Happy Nemo

Having an online store on the world wide web can sometimes make you feel like a little fish swimming in the Pacific Ocean. I like to think of us as a little Nemo happily swimming along with the currents of the web but I often wonder how do we get recognised in this big Ocean which has so many other great fish. Then, out of the blue, sometimes the web can throw you a surprise and yesterday, it was our little Nemo’s turn to be recognised! We were so excited to learn that our store and one of our gorgeous products, the retro striped paper drinking straws, were featured in the Style Me Pretty: The Ultimate Wedding Blog  - Best of 2010 – Buyers Guide (Page 63)!
